As we go deeper in to the 21st Century, it is increasingly obvious that we are in the age of uncertainty. We cannot really predict what kind of working life lies ahead. Change has become the new normal. In the 21st Century, young people’s aspirations have expanded to include the need to make a positive contribution to the world. The century is one of choices and opportunities. Embrace them to learn and grow. No one can stop you from learning, from building relationships or from promoting yourself. Go for it!
Mahatama Gandhi summed up his philosophy of life with the words, “My Life is my Message”. His multifarious and dynamic personality was based on truth and nothing but the truth. Non – violence was another intrinsic element of this philosophy… Read More →
Character and values formation is the cornerstone on which Montfortian education builds up the child to be a scholar, sportsman, gentleman, leader, and ultimately, a man for others.
We always talk that students’ key to success lies in the hand of the teacher, however I believe that nobody can teach anyone anything. One of the Sanskrit shlokas mentions the same that a person grows, one fourth because of the teacher, one fourth from own intelligence, one fourth from surroundings, and one fourth only with time. It takes a whole village to educate a child and indeed it is the responsibility of all adults to create conducive environment where effective learning takes place.
An education system that develops the imagination of the child is richer than the one that does not. The imagination is where new ideas are created and progress becomes possible. This allows students to explore themselves and become aware of their potential.

A plot of land at Bolsaldam, Jonglapara was donated by late Shri. Alberth Sangma, the Nokma of Resu Akhing. Rev. Fr. E.V. George, the then parish priest of Resubelpara Parish was instrumental for the said donation. It was his dream to establish a school at the Jonglapara for the youth of the area. He along with the Bishop of Tura invited the Franciscan Brothers to open a centre.
The Franciscan Brothers, under the dynamic leadership of Rev. Bro. Macarius opened the new centre at Jonglapara on 10-08-1983. The very next year they opened an English Medium School at Jonglapara called “Alverno Abri M.E. School”. Within a period of ten years, the newly opened school was upgraded to an M.E. School and obtained government recognition and recurring grant in-aid from the Education Department.
Unfortunately, the Franciscan Brothers had to abandon their venture due to shortage of personal in the congregation. After closing down the M.E. Section of the school officially, the Franciscan Brothers handed over their centre.
From April 1995, the management of the centre reverted to the Resubelpara Parish. The Parish Priest continued to look after the centre, with the L P School and the farm with the help of teachers and other helpers. It was on February 2002 that Rt. Rev. George Mamalassery, the Bishop of Tura, invited the Montfort Brothers
